Local Unit & Position Description

DNV is running different cloud-based HR Applications on a global scale to manage and support the HR processes in the DNV group. Oracle HCM Cloud (Partner) and SeerTech iLearning Plus (MyLearning) being the two largest utilized platforms in DNV supporting most of the global HR processes. Both systems have been implemented in larger HR IT projects during the years 2016-2018 up to its current scope. Further implementation and improvement projects are in planning. Within DNV’s GSS organization the Global Shared Service IT (GSS IT) unit provides a full-stack managed IT operation around all means of IT services required in a global company. Within the area of GSS IT Core Applications which is responsible for Finance, HR and BI applications, the unit HR Application Competence Center is responsible to manage, run and support all global HR applications used in the group.


We are seeking a Project and Release Manager
for our HR Applications team based in Gdynia, Poland.



As part of the HR Applications Competence Center the Project and Release Manager is responsible to manage projects in the HR applications area as well as coordinating releases and its regression testing activities.


Your key tasks and deliveries will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage large and mid-sized projects in the HR domain in the relevant applications mainly within the Oracle HCM Cloud environment or other existing HR applications technologies
  • Manage and coordinate quarterly software releases provided by the cloud vendors including coordination of regression testing activities for functional as well as for the technical tests
  • Lead a project team in delivering a solution to the customer
  • Manage all project resources and establish an effective communication plan with the project team and the customer and provide day-to-day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer
  • Investigate and analyse potential solutions in close collaboration with the IT Single Point of Contacts
  • Support IT management in planning and realisation of IT HR process changes and ensure the maximum benefit for IT Investments
  • Coordinate between IT demands and project portfolio
  • Contribute to IT HR Strategy

Position Qualifications

To maximize your chances, you need:

  • Profound knowledge in Project Management, Release Management and/or Business Analysis
  • Extensive knowledge on the end-to-end dependencies from organisational changes into the relevant downstream IT applications
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques, preferably with certifications like PMI
  • Knowledge in HR and HR IT processes and systems, preferably based on technologies like Oracle HCM Cloud, Seertech iLearning Plus would be an advantage
  • Training completion for scrum and agile projects
  • Background in process modelling and process management
  • Expertise in the identification and interpretation of requirements and demands of business
  • Strong consulting background
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable with new challenges and a personal drive to achieve goals
  • Well organised and proactive working mentality
  • Strong analytical expertise and capacity of solving problems
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and is team-oriented
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills in English
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, also across cultures and organisational boundaries
