Hydrogen Engineer

We are looking for an engineer that has a good understanding, interest and passion for the hydrogen value chain and hydrogen economy in North America. What does that mean? That you understand the methods of hydrogen production and have mostly focused on green hydrogen. We need you to know the technologies, mainly the electrolyzes, how they work, efficiencies, the good, the bad, and the opportunities to scale them up. You also need to know the basics of hydrogen transportation via pipeline, rail, and truck. As you know hydrogen can also be stored in salt caverns, the more you know the better. Uses of hydrogen is also something that you need to have understanding about as safety is a key element here.

As a Hydrogen Engineer you will be close to innovative industries, forward looking companies and creative people that are looking for ways to lower our carbon food print with the use of hydrogen.

This position could be based out of our DNV office in Calgary, Canada.

What You’ll Do

• Engage in hydrogen projects where your will challenge concepts and ideas for green hydrogen production
• Work closely together with regional segment lead and rest of North America experts for H2 to share, learn and implement best practices
• Increase your internal and external visibility by participating in lead generation, bidding, and multidisciplinary project execution
• Sharing is important for DNV; thus, you will be involved in domain knowledge building within the organization
• Support bid and project competence

What is Required

• Bachelor’s in engineering, advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience directly working with green hydrogen production and H2 projects
• Understanding of the Hydrogen value chain and mainly on electrolyzers and electrolysis
• Has a broad and diverse industry network
• Comfortable talking to customers and making presentations
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• We conduct pre-employment background screening
