Training Engineer with focus on control systems

With GridLab Training Center in Schoenefeld (near Berlin), DNV Energy Systems Germany GmbH offers training and advisory services for specialists and managers of companies in the energy supply industry. We offer assessment center, human factor (psychology) training, switching authorization courses as well as fault and network reconstruction training in distribution and transmission networks (simulator-based). Our customers are mainly grid operators, power plant operators and renewable energy operators from German speaking region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Our service portfolio is also available for international customers.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the conception of trainings, especially with use of our (power) grid simulator
• Leading trainings (e.g. basic switching authorization, grid restoration, instructed persons for electrical risks, etc.)
• Intensive customer contact during the training sessions
• Willingsness to stay in front of an audience of heterogeneous learning groups
• Further development / adjustment of existing trainings
• Coordination of data model updates / adjustments
• Project management (planning, execution, evaluation)

• Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering or comparable qualification
• High IT affinity (SCADA, control systems)
• Proven knowledge of electrotechnical relations of the energy supply system
• Knowledge of the planning and/or operation of electricity supply networks (110 - 380 kV) would be an advantage
• Presentation competence and pleasure in conveying technical contexts
• Distinct customer orientation, high resilience and ability to work independently
• communication and team skills
• Experience in dealing with new forms / formats of learning is desirable
• Very good German and English language skills
