Local Unit & Position Description

DNV - Energy Systems is seeking a Midstream Program Manager to join our Energy Management team. Our team helps commercial and industrial utility customers save energy and money. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and will be responsible for a team of administrative and outreach individuals, setting team goals, and leading process improvement efforts for the program. This position is based in our Des Moines, Iowa office.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop vision and goals for the team, in alignment with Section- and Department-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor project billing against internal and client budgets, savings goals and resource utilization
  • Gather intelligence and obtain a clear and comprehensive understanding of the client's business issues and challenges
  • Monitor application data entry, database management, database update and maintenance
  • Implement outreach strategy to generate leads and support market participants, guide outreach staff activity and reporting.
  • Ensure Distributors are trained and supported in the Program Rules and Processes
  • Assist managers with effective facilitation of team and client meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items, and proactively following up on action items
  • Assist the marketing team and client to develop effective campaigns and collateral to be used by Distributors

Position Qualifications

What is Required

  • Associates Degree or higher in Business and 3 years of professional experience in administrative services or sales or related discipline
  • In lieu of degree minimum of 5 years of professional experience in administrative services or sales required
  • Must be able to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), customer service and phone skills, organization, grammar, and spelling skills are essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations and be productive and self-motivated during slow periods
  • Ability to take and give direction from multiple people and perform varied tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude and team-oriented spirit
  • Strong knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to bend, lift, and reach consistent with typical office work
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

 What is Preferred

  • Previous experience working with, or for, a lighting or mechanical distributor
  • Knowledge of energy savings metrics a plus
  • Some sales experience is highly desired
  • Previous experience with customer relationship manager (CRM) software
  • Previous experience with financial/accounting systems
