Local Unit & Position Description

We seek ambitious and driven Cyber Security Consultants to join our growing team that specializes in industrial control systems, Operations Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) security in the industrial domain. You will support a broad range of customers in the maritime and energy industries on projects: security architecture and design; risk assessment and management; onboard inspection, discovery and testing; quality assurance and continuous improvement, incident handling and recovery; remote and hands-on training; security governance and security strategies.

 

This role will offer you the opportunity to work alongside some of the most experienced specialists in the cyber security field. You will have the opportunity to learn and obtain experience rapidly. We will invest in your career development, offering in-depth training and the chance to participate in industry-leading training and certification.

 

You will be based at one of DNV’s premises in Germany or France, preferably Hamburg, Paris or Marseilles, but other locations can be considered for the right candidate. Some projects will be undertaken at customer premises or onboard ships at quay or other industrial sites which will involve travel.

Position Qualifications

Our Cyber Security Services unit is growing, and we are now looking for new colleagues with:

  • PHD, Master's degree or Bachelor in areas such as telecom, cyber security, IT or cybernetics.
  • Short, moderate or long working experience
  • Education and/or experience within one or more of the following:
    • General IT security
    • Security architecture design and review
    • Firewalls and other security components
    • OT security
    • Cloud security
    • Ethical hacking
    • Software development and quality assurance
    • System and network administration
    • Experience with ISO 2700x, IEC62443, NIST and other relevant cyber security standards
    • Risk analysis and management
    • Functional Safety
    • Ship building and operation
  • Cyber security certifications like CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH or CCSK is an advantage
  • Language skills: Fluent English and (preferably) German or French
  • Good written and spoken communication skills; precise, efficient, structured and clear
  • A customer-oriented mindset
  • The possibility for a security clearance is preferable
  • A positive, constructive, and solution-oriented “can-do” attitude
  • The personal integrity to work with a trust-based brand like DNV
