Local Unit & Position Description

 

DNV’s Global Shared Services (GSS) is seeking a Regional HR Manager to join our team. The Regional Manager GSS HR is the functional lead for all employees of the Regional GSS HR team in MEA. The Regional Manager GSS HR carries entrepreneurial responsibility for the management of the Region including responsibility for customer satisfaction, quality, performance, costs and continuous improvement of the function.

Taking on this role, you will be part of the GSS HR management team. The GSS HR Regional Manager reports to the Director GSS HR Operations, based in Norway.

 

This position is based in Dubai, UAE.

 

  

Tasks May Include:

 

  • Responsible for the Regional HR Shared Service Operations
  • Advise and coach the regional HR shared service team in day to day HR matters
  • Drive standardization and digitalization of processes in accordance with the global HR process framework, through effective and engaged change management
  • Provide leadership and direction, continuously build and manage a high-performing team of experienced professionals to deliver world-class HR support to a diverse array of internal customers throughout the region
  • Lead and/or collaborate on global services and projects, working closely with our Global Centers.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of annual budget and operating plans
  • Lead and manage per DNV’s Purpose, Vision and Values (PVV) and Management System (DMS)
  • Through effective management and oversight ensure the highest levels of service quality and data security
  • Provide strong and collaborative customer relationship management of Regional Shared Service customers
  • Work closely with the other GSS streams (Finance, IT, Real Estate/Procurement) to ensure end to end process management and improvement
  • Provide regular reporting on regional operation performance and project status; identification and active mitigation of risks/barriers
  • Manage customer expectations in accordance with global standards and service agreements
  • Ensure training and development of Regional Shared Service staff to meet capability requirements and evolve the HR and technology competencies of the team
  • Champion and build upon a culture that offers a safe, respectful, collaborative and motivating work environment
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources-related academic credentials preferred; relevant professional experience in lieu of an advanced degree considered)
  • Minimum 7 years of professional leadership/management experience. Prior experience in a shared services environment helpful
  • Demonstrable experience in a large, international organization involving substantial change and change management highly preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, coaching and developing team members required;
  • Strong HR knowledge and decisiveness supporting the local business management
  • Expertise in subject matters, such as but not limited to compensation and benefits, employee relations, recruitment and compliance
  • Ability to operate in a decisive but professional manner in supporting the local business management
  • Demonstrable experience in building strong and professional relationships in all directions within an organization
  • Ability to develop and implement new ideas or ways of working and adapt to change
  • Exceptional written and verbal English skills required
  • Good understanding of underlying HR IT-infrastructure, HR technologies and current HR digital trends
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite required
  • An uncompromising set of professionalism, ethics and integrity required; ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, required
