Local Unit & Position Description

The function of Global Training BD Manager within Business Assurance is to develop and coordinate training globally, with particular attention to help countries defining their own country plans, new training development and specific key customers’ actions. After growing and strengthening our approach on training services we are now looking for a proactive and experienced manager to lead and manage our growth structurally.

 

The Global Training BD Manager will be part of the Market and Industry team and will report to the Market and Industry Director.

 

Key work areas and responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of training business plans and strategy for Business Assurance helping achievement of sales targets and profitability of training services;
  • Help countries in defining their Sales planning with the objective to maximise effectiveness in building sales pipeline;
  • Work with the Country Sales Managers and Country Training Managers and peers on the development of a comprehensive business development strategy for Training
  • Demonstrating key leadership behaviours of foresight, customer centricity, respect/ care and result orientation;
  • Proactive management of training representative of the different countries ensuring they hit their targets, including creating a high-performance culture and help both Country Sales Managers improve performance of their teams in selling training and Country Training Managers improving performance of their teams in delivering with the correct timeline and profitability;
  • Contributing to a forecasting process and follow up Countries for the respective plans and actions;
  • Ensuring that all aspects of sales and delivery activities are recorded according to Business Area requirements;
  • Drive and manage new Training Services development at a global level, helping countries developing their own services at a local level 
  • Identify business development opportunities, support sales and delivery teams to propose new business, and drive such opportunities from concept to implementation and execution of such plans and tracking outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for promotions and additional services, that will lead to an increase in sales and works with the Sales and Delivery teams to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns and objectives.
  • Review weekly, monthly and quarterly growth objectives and specifically the results for target countries and accounts and help countries prepare action plans where improvement is needed
  • Help and coordinate developing new Channels for Selling and Delivering Training Services
  • Help Key Customer Managers to work on Training Services proposition towards own key customers;
  • Oversee Training business to achieve and exceed delivery expectations.

Position Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
  • Min. 5 years of experience within growth focused role required
  • In-depth knowledge and experience across Management System Certification & Training
  • Strong background and knowledge of Training services and sales experience
  • Extensive experience in Business Development
  • Solution oriented mindset combined with a pragmatic approach
  • Takes keen interest in driving change wherever required
  • Previous experience in a Global role
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to drive business performance
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • A commitment to DNV ’s leadership expectations, including results orientation, customer focus, respect, care, and foresight
