Renewables Certification (RC) belongs to business area Energy Systems (ES) with more than 4000 people globally. RC has the global responsibility for Type Certification (TC), Component Certification (CC) and Project Certification (PC) for Renewables within ES. Currently Renewables Certification consists of 250+ experts with locations in Beijing, Boston, Copenhagen, Dresden, Esbjerg, Hamburg, Houston, Oslo, London, Busan, Shanghai, Taipei and Yokohama.

Renewables Certification is the global market leader in the Renewables Certification market and is involved in 80% of Project Certification for offshore wind parks including offshore substations in the world.

 

We are looking for project manager for certification of wind turbines and its components. You will form part of a multi-disciplinary team working on onshore and offshore wind project management.

 

Your work will include some or all of the following, depending on your competences:

  • Project management activities for clients. Ownership of the entire project lifecycle from initiation to close-out in accordance to DNV internal Project Management Processes
  • Frequently communicate with clients in a clear, concise, and professional manner, presenting a professional company image to clients by email, phone, and in person
  • Coordinate a multi-disciplinary group of experts, often at different locations and time zones
  • Write and review project deliverables (eg. reports, statements, certificates, etc.)
  • Organize and, given relevant experience and qualification, participate in inspection of components manufacturing workshops and factory prototype testing
  • Support Bid Manager to prepare project proposals, budget development, and defining scopes of work. Manage deviations from scope with clients through clear communication over the phone and by email

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engineering. An M.Sc. or a PhD with focus on wind turbine related components will be an advantage
  • Preferably 2 years’ experience in project management or relevant fields, ideally in the wind energy industry
  • A self-motivated, self-dependent person with an interest in Renewables Energy
  • A structured and organized way of working. Take ownership of the project and ensure delivery on scope, time and budget
  • Good communication skills, willing to work in large matrix organizations spreading over large distances
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Willing to take business travels locally and internationally (20 days per year maximum)
