Renewables Certification (RC) belongs to business area Energy Systems (ES) with more than 4000 people globally. Renewables Certification has the global responsibility for Type Certification (TC), Component Certification (CC) and Project Certification (PC) for Renewables within ES. Currently Renewables Certification consists of 250+ experts with locations in Beijing, Boston, Copenhagen, Dresden, Esbjerg, Hamburg, Houston, Oslo, London, Busan, Shanghai, Taipei and Yokohama.

Renewables Certification is the global market leader in the Renewables Certification market and is involved in 80% of Project Certification for offshore wind parks including offshore substations in the world.

 

We are looking for a professional with an extensive wind industry experience as a rotor blade engineer. Your work will include some or all of the following depending on your capabilities:

  • Assessment and certification of rotor blades
  • Analysis of rotor blades by static and dynamic load calculations
  • Assessment of rotor blade designs and design methodologies
  • Material evaluation and assessment of manufacturing processes
  • Laboratory evaluation and assessment of the rotor blade and sub-component test
  • Inspection activities for blade projects
  • Responsibility for managing complex technical customer and R&D projects from inception through to completion
  • Develop new tools and services
  • Build relationships and manage interfaces with external clients

Position Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or PhD in Aerospace, Material or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Rotor Blade Specialist in the wind industry
  • Participation in the development and roll-out of new designs for rotor blades and implementation of new production processes.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following fields:
    • rotor blade design and design methodology
    • rotor blade structural analysis
    • rotor blade production
    • full scale blade and component testing
    • composite materials science
    • certification of rotor blades
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Strong logical skills and eagerness to learn and develop
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Willing to take business travels locally and internationally (20 days per year maximum)
