Local Unit & Position Description

DNV - Energy Management within Energy Systems North America is looking for a self-driven and ambitious an AP-Accountant to become a part of our team at the Katy, TX office on a weekly/hybrid basis.

 

What You'll do

  • Vendor Maintenance
    • Set up new vendors
    • Update existing vendors
  • Rebate Payments
    • Weekly review of rebate check copies with payment spreadsheet
    • Stop Payments- process as requested
  • Banking
    • Review & process daily, Bank of America exceptions
    • Research any returned checks/ACH issues
  • EFT Payments
    • Work with programs to set-up EFT payments for rebate customers
    • Ensure accuracy of rebate information.
  • Check Templates
    • Create check templates for new programs
    • Update check templates as necessary
    • Work with PMs and 8989 for any issues
  • Reports
    • Energy Management (EM) Monthly AR/WIP report for rebates
    • Outstanding Rebate checks – review & work with programs to clear outstanding checks
    • Rebate check forecasting/cash flow – work with programs on forecasting rebate checks for timing of issuances & payments
  • Develop as needed & maintain rebate processing documentation
  • Look at improving the check rebate process to make more efficient and resilient
  • Train programs on issuing rebate checks related on the finance side
  • Monitor WIP to ensure check re-issues are issued timely
  • Work with EM IT, GSS IT and programs to develop system to system processes
  • Support and facilitate communication and actions among peers
  • Maintain and develop needed excel reports
  • Ensure compliance with DNV Management System (DMS)
  • Special projects as determined by Business Controller

Position Qualifications

What is Required

  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree within finance, accounting or equivalent required
  • Extensive knowledge in Accounts Payable Module – Oracle Finance
  • Proficient user skills in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Pro-active, highly motivated and energetic
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Refined customer care skills: relationship-building, listening, “can do” attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Structured work approach
  • Outstanding team building skills
  • Quality driven and always looking for improvement opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
