Functional Safety Engineer - Automotive

An Automotive Functional Safety Engineer is responsible for providing training, technical advisory, and assessment services on projects(products) and ensuring functional safety of the products for clients. This role helps clients implement, improve and demonstrate their commitment to international and local standards. This position will get the opportunity to lead and work on a wide range of automotive control system safety.

You will be expected to support the delivery for a range of services and may have specialism and expertise in several of them, including but not limited to:

• Conducting training, technical advisory and assessment services;
• Developing process asset (process, template, guideline, check-list) and FuSa work products;
• Leading projects, ensuring they are executed to clients’ expectations on time and on budget;
• Leading and communicating effectively with project teams and clients;

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field of Electric/Electronic/Computer/Mechanical Engineering;
• A minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive & robot industry (OEMs, Suppliers) or in the certification company;
• Automotive functional safety(ISO 26262) development experience;
• Possess safety analysis practical methods such as HAZOP, FTA, FMEA, DFA;

Preferred:

• Robot functional safety(ISO 13849-1, 10218) development experience;
• Automated driving system development experience;
• Engineering and development experiences per the "state of the art" such as ISO 21448 / ASPICE
• Possess engineering skills regarding system architectural design;
• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel, often with conflicting demands and timelines;
• Communication skills in both Korean and English;
