The pipeline operations team works with energy companies, suppliers, authorities, and other industry players as an independent service provider. We are recognized as the leading advisor providing operational-phase assurance for pipelines and other assets, both onshore and offshore, throughout their lifecycle, from concept, through operations and re-qualification, to decommissioning.

We deliver a broad suite of services within condition assessments and maintenance planning, technology development and qualification, e.g. pipelines for hydrogen and CO2 transport, technical assistance and operational support, and fitness for service assessments, e.g. gas transport and storage.

The Pipeline Operations team in Høvik (Oslo) is part of the Pipeline Operations section with teams located in Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Management of multi-disciplinary projects
  • Structural analysis and integrity assessment
  • Qualification of new technology
  • Risk assessment services
  • Verification and certification services
  • Participation in R&D projects

Position Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

  • several years of relevant work experience
  • B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. degree within:
    • Subsea/Offshore engineering
    • Mechanical engineering
    • Structural engineering
    • Materials Technology
    • Marine technology
    • Risk Management
    • Subsea survey technology
  • Advanced English skills both written and verbal. Additional Scandinavian language skills will be an advantage. 

 The candidate should preferably possess one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Experience in project work and project engineering
  • Experience in pipeline engineering/design
  • Experience with structural analysis, FEM, etc.
  • Knowledge of risk and reliability assessments
  • Experience in integrity management
  • Experience with programming (python, C/C++, etc.)
