Local Unit & Position Description

  • Leading sustainability assignments across various industry sectors including Oil and Gas, steel, aluminum, cement industry etc.
  • Assessment of Sustainability/Integrated reports based on various reporting frameworks like GRI, SASB, UNGC, DJSI/S&P, TCFD, CDP, regional regulations etc.
  • Assessment/Verification of client’s sustainability indicators involving environment (Scope 1, 2 and Scope 3 emissions), social and governance indicators.
  • Execution of Assurance activities under the Clean Energy Regulator NGER and ERF machnisms as a Category 2 Lead Auditor (at outset or after qualification).
  • Review and assessment of client’s net Zero Targets or Science based Targets (SBTi), Carbon footprint, Product carbon footprint, Life cycle analysis.
  • Understanding and knowledge on Product Carbon footprint, LCA Studies, Product eco-labeling would be preferred.
  • Support on techno-commercial proposals, bidding, commercial awareness.
  • Lead in seeking and identifying emerging opportunities in sustainability space and developing and growing the business across emerging areas and local industry connect.
  • Undertaking business development activities and market intelligence.

Position Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, environmental science. MBA in marketing would be added advantage.

  • Accreditation as a Category 2 Greenhouse and Energy Auditor by the Clean Energy Regulator will be highly valued.

  • 6-8 years of experience in sustainability space.
  • Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, DJSI/S&P, CDP, regional regulations, TCFD etc.
  • Strong knowledge of existing and evolving ESG concepts and practices across sector/geographies.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with ESG market in India and the region.
  • Overall project management leadership of complex projects, delivering on-time, on-budget and achieving high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Capable of work under pressure with strategic optimization. Maintain flexibility in work hours and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills, data interpretation and first principal problem-solving approach.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with customers.
  • Experience in management audits – Economic, Environment and Social Standards.
  • Works closely with client’s executives, managing directors, plant managers, facility directors, Sales and Marketing/Sales personnel, engineering and EHS personnel.
