Local Unit & Position Description

The GSS HR Regional centre for West, South and East Europe (WSEE) is located in Arnhem, the Netherlands, with country offices in Spain, Italy and Greece. In this region we provide HR services to approximately 2.000 employees located across 20 countries. GSS HR WSEE provides services like HR advisory, recruitment, compensation & benefit reviews, labor law advice and HSE.

 

In our Regional Centre in Arnhem we are seeking a: Compensation & Benefits Expert

 

The Compensation & Benefits Expert is part of the Expert Group and assists on various HR expertise topics and processes in our WSEE region with a focus on the Netherlands. As Compensation & Benefits Expert you will report to the Head of Section Expert Group of the Regional Centre. The position is based in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and local conditions apply.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Support on various HR expert topics such as international mobility, pension & insurances, occupational health and payroll related topics in the Netherlands and in the region
  • Structure, improve and govern processes of GSS HR expert topics that are executed by the global centre teams to make sure these are compliant to legislation   
  • Support union negotiations and annual salary adjustment process in the Netherlands
  • Employee handbook (Personnel Administrative Guidelines) reviews in WSEE countries with a focus on compensation and benefits
  • Building expertise in global DNV HR systems to provide country specific HR management information
  • Manage and coordinate global HR projects in the WSEE region, for example related to employment law and M&A
  • Support in keeping our services and practices compliant with internal and external regulations such as GDPR, ISO27001 and local laws

Position Qualifications

  • A relevant bachelor or university degree in HR/business
  • Minimum 5 + years of relevant HR experience
  • Good understanding of the social security system in the Netherlands
  • Knowledge of pensions and other HR related insurances
  • Experience with common C&B systems, tools and HR-analytics is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch
  • High proficiency skills in Excel
  • Positive and pro-active attitude, quick adapter to change and strong team player
  • Accurate, analytical, structured work attitude and stress resistant
  • Understand customer needs and the sense of urgency; take ownership to ensure solutions for the customer, make things happen and deliver high quality results on time
