We have an exciting new position for an established leader with sustainability, supply chain advisory and/or non-financial audit experience to continue the growth of our French unit (main offices in Paris and Genas, outside Lyon) delivering first class services on ESG and HSE strategy, performance, compliance, governance, and trust in supply chains, production systems and products offerings. With a proven track record of commercial, people and technical skills in one or more of the following areas (see below) - you will manage and lead a team of world-class experts in supporting our clients to integrate sustainability, safety and compliance performance into their core business, enterprise risk management, operations, and value chains by delivering a full suite of assurance and advisory services.

  • Sustainability and ESG services, both regulated and non-regulated
  • Experience with leading reporting and assurance standards
  • Human rights and social performance
  • Supply chain of custody and traceability
  • Digital solutions enabling greener transformation, such as digital product passports for green claims
  • Sustainable Finance
  • Conformity assessment of industrial products and goods according to specific codes, best practice guidance, international and local standards and/or regulatory requirements.

In this position, you will

  • Support and carry out DNV’s strategy of focusing on clients, understanding clients’ businesses and their needs, and delivering exceptional client value, with a focus on product sustainability and circularity, product regulatory compliance and sustainable supply chains.
  • Ensure the team in France are positioned correctly to assist both new and existing clients with their transformation agenda
  • Have ownership of the unit’s P&L and have the opportunity to personally shape further growth, initiate significant project leads and realize further impact with our clients. Fundamental performance targets include sales, revenue and profitability, client and staff satisfaction.

Position Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Proven business development experience related to supply chain sustainability advisory and assurance services
  • Project Director skills with senior internal and external stakeholder management experience
  • Line management experience of at least a team of ten
  • Demonstratable senior-level experience in corporate ESG/sustainability/supply chain/product compliance in one or more of our services outlined above
  • Ability to direct the work of multiple project teams efficiently and effectively
  • Accountability towards service area and individual sales targets with demonstratable performance against these
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to be inclusive and be clear and concise
  • Excellent oral and written business French and English communication skills
  • Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages client expectations accordingly
  • An understanding of conflicting stakeholder needs and the ability to develop solutions to address these
  • Willingness to travel and work around France and overseas
