ESG Business Developer LATAM

DNV Supply Chain & Product Assurance seeks a Business Developer for ESG market in Latin America with experience in consultancy firms and with proven relationship with clients, industry associations and other stakeholders to join our global team of Sustainability, Assessment & Assurance.

This professional will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of services focused on sustainability strategy, sustainability reporting assurance, sustainable finance and climate change and decarbonization. 

When doing this, you will get the opportunity to engage with many of the region’s leading companies and brands across a wide range of sectors and to leverage a suite of services and digital technologies to scope, sell, and deliver innovative solutions.

This position can be performed with flexible work arrangements (home/office) in São Paulo. Other locations might be considered.

Position Description:

The position shall perform as ESG Business Developer, identifying opportunities in the domain of ESG and Sustainability. This person will be responsible for:

• Market intelligence/ companies targeting.
• Market prospection: people/ position identification and contact, including within DNV's active clients.
• New business opportunities identification.
• Commercial meetings and presentations.
• Development of new services and solutions.
• Support to the commercial team in tenders, proposals, monitoring and contract reviews.
• Monitoring of projects, together with the operations team.

The ideal candidate should be +5 years’ experience in ESG/ Sustainability, considering the following requirements:

• Professional expertise - demonstrates knowledge and expertise in ESG/ Sustainability areas (must have).
• Consistent networking in ESG and Sustainability (must have).
• Proven track record in sales and business development of ESG & Sustainability services, ideally within a consultancy environment (must have).
• International professional experience, especially in Latin America (desirable).
• Farmer profile.
• Proactively seeking to identify customer needs, developing tailored solutions and selling these to new and existing clients.
• Consultative sales skills: ability to discover explicit needs and to uncover implicit needs and business drivers.
• Spanish intermediated to advanced (must have).
• English intermediated to advanced (desirable).
• Soft skills: communication in different levels (C-level to operational), hands-on, flexibility and team working.
