Performing technical reviews will require candidates who can assess detailed aspects of inverter design, including design of the power conversion stack, modeling of thermal behavior, modeling of control algorithms, and the ability to make recommendations on testing to validate product performance. The technical review will include an evaluation with respect to relevant codes and standards. The successful candidate should be familiar with the major suppliers of power conversion equipment in the solar, wind, and storage industry and with the primary technical differences between products and market segments.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do
- Provide our customers with technical advice related to the planning and development of wind farm concepts and projects
- Discuss and resolve technical issues with project developers and lenders/investors and support customers through the financial closings of projects and the construction phase (technical due diligence services)
- Review construction contracts, supply contracts, contracting strategies, and project procurement plans
- Perform market studies, legislation and regulation reviews and assessments, cost studies, and technical assessments
- Customer contact and project management, including managing complex, technical projects from inception through to completion
- Follow market trends, discuss service offerings with customers, win new commercial or research projects
- Support or attend conference participation to represent services and capabilities to customers and stakeholders of the industry sector
- Support a dedicated business development team with market access, domain knowledge, and customer contacts in the acquisition as well as after-sales process

We are looking for a Smart Cable Guard (SCG) Engineer to strengthen our team in North America. The SCG Engineer will work closely with our Business Development team and domain experts to deliver the best solution to our customers. The SCG Engineer is the first point of contact during installation and monitoring of the SCG systems.
Part of the role is working with our Product Management team to keep evolving and improving our solution.
As SCG Engineer, you will play an important role in advising our clients and managing incidents and queries related to the performance of the monitored cables and the Smart Cable Guard systems. You will provide remote and on-site support during installation and will be the first line of support when queries arise. You identify the system's potential failures and develop troubleshooting reports if necessary. Establish technical project requirements in close corporation with the project manager and the Smart Cable Guard domain experts.

What You’ll Do
- Supporting clients with the application of SCG in their MV network (be able to explain the technical features and perform site surveys)
- Provide remote support and onsite supervision during the installation of new SCG systems

You will support projects both in China and across the APAC region with technical expertise in fixed and floating offshore structural engineering, experience with offshore wind projects is desired. This will require you to:
- Conduct structural strength assessment for different type of foundations for fixed offshore wind turbine and substations e.g., monopiles, jackets, etc., including pile-soil interaction analysis.
- Conduct structural strength assessment for different floating offshore wind turbine foundations e.g., semi-submersibles, spars, etc.
- Contribute to technical reports in field of expertise clearly communicating findings along with engineering judgement.
- Project management. Communicate and cooperate with collogues in different regions.
Assist with business development activities including:
- Develop sales proposals including scope of work definition, budgeting and support on sales opportunity follow-up.
- Support on sales, marketing and business development initiatives.
- Customer interactions and follow-up. Understand their development and investment plans and discuss and promote services that would best suit their requirements in markets that they are investing.
- Participate in industry events and ensure that the company and service offerings are well-known and well-respected in the wind industry.
- Act as an effective liaison between Customer and DNV, as well as an Ambassador for DNV's business solutions and capabilities.
