As part of DNV’s Energy Systems Offshore Technology business area, our Jack-Up, Geotechnical and Metocean team is at the forefront of implementing the green energy transition around the world today.  Our team of 20 structural, geotechnical and metocean engineers provides sophisticated solutions and engineering assessments to support offshore renewable energy installation projects around the globe, as well as ensuring safe offshore operations for our oil and gas customers.   The team has a focus on the installation and operation of jack-up vessels that are currently used to install wind turbines and perform oil and gas activities offshore.   We are seeking a talented and motivated structural engineer to join us in delivering innovative and safe assessments of these jack-ups to maximise the operability of the vessels whilst ensuring that they have an appropriate factor of safety against wind, wave, current and seismic loading. You will work within a team on the structural and dynamic analysis of all types of jack-up platforms and associated structures including finite element modelling of complex structures. You will develop a strong grounding in the Site-Specific Analysis of jack-ups and gradually develop expertise in a wide range of structural analysis for offshore structures including: static & dynamic analysis, fatigue analysis, impact analysis, earthquake response analysis. The Product Line Renewables and Ocean Structures is seeking an experienced engineer to be part of our Customer Success team. We are looking for an engineer with experience within structural analyses of offshore wind turbine to provide support and domain expertise to both our SESAM customers and the DNV sales teams. Sesam is a software suite for hydrodynamic and structural analysis of renewables, offshore and maritime structures accompanied by interfaces to Bladed (DNV’s market leading wind turbine design software).   The successful applicant will build excellent relationships with customers by providing a high-quality product support service, including training, on engineering topics while actively contributing to advancing our online offering. In addition, Customer Success Engineers provide their expertise to the pre-sales process (e.g. technical workshops, marketing events, webinars, etc), and also the Sesam product development by carrying out testing and analyses relating to new software features. This role will have a particular focus on pre-sales activities in the Japan and will work closely with the Japan Sales Team.   Customer Success is part of the Product Centre that is responsible for software development, technology, architecture,  customer support, pre-sales, training, testing and operations of advanced engineering software including Sesam, Bladed, WindFarmer and SolarFarmer. The Product Centre consist of 110+ dedicated staff in multiple locations across the world with the main locations being Oslo, Bristol, Shanghai, US and Gdynia.
