We are currently developing web applications and tools that enable collaboration and simulation for testing cyber-physical and autonomous systems in the cloud. You will help us develop future technologies and services related to the assurance of digital assets, using cloud infrastructure, simulations, and web technologies. Key ongoing projects cover (i) exploring the role of time-domain simulations for assurance of AI-enabled systems and its connection to cyber security risks, and (ii) developing an automatic and large-scale simulation-based testing tool to be used in assurance.
Responsibilities:
You will be working in a software development team with activities including:
- Using simulations to develop future assurance methods
- Development of the Simulation Trust Center and Open Simulation Platform
- Software & cloud-based security
- Software design
- Programming in C++, Clojure/ClojureScript, Python, JavaScript
- Work with technologies such as: React, Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, Azure Cloud Services, FMU/FMI, SQL, Azure DevOps, Linux, Conan, GitHub
- Executing and contributing to improving existing DevOps processes (test automation, CI/CD)
- Follow and contribute to improving the established agile development framework
- Quality assurance through code review
- Collaborate with other research programs and the wider software developer community across DNV, as well as with our industry partners

Your day to day will include:
- Designing innovative algorithms that will add value to customers when managing Solar PV assets and portfolios
- Building on and maintain existing algorithms developed by DNV to estimate assets life and performance degradation
- Building relationships with customers to discover market requirements and goals
- Ensuring that DNV’s Solar PV technology expertise flows into algorithms and eventually into software offerings
- Transforming the designed algorithms into Python code
- Conveying GPM’s plans in an easy-to-understand manner and help deploy our analytics solutions to the portfolio of our Customers
- Maintaining close technical collaboration with the GPM software teams to integrate algorithms into products
- Participating in internal and external feedback sessions to ensure Solar PV specific algorithms are scalable and easy for broad implementation
- Being part of the Key Account Management process to ensure GPM are providing value to our Key customers and partners
- Innovating and improving the GPM offering
- Cultivating working relationship with DNV Energy Systems Renewables Advisory colleagues and GPM’s Product Team to plan the development and maintenance of solutions and their alignment with our overall strategy

This position will ideally be based in our DNV office in Albuquerque (NM) in US.
What You’ll Do
- Review and verify technical merits of business energy efficiency and EV charging station incentive applications, including compliance with program terms, verification of technical specifications, and calculations of energy savings
- Perform customer site inspections to verify the installation of EV charging stations, energy efficient equipment, and associated infrastructure. Interact with customers to address questions or concerns about installed equipment or programmatic information
- Perform database queries and program data analysis to verify application details
- Review detailed engineering specifications and drawings
- Provide technical assistance in the form of trainings, formal presentations, and one-on-one face time to support project implementation for participating customers and Trade Allies
- Respond to all technical inquiries regarding utility programs, services, and incentives relating to energy efficiency and EV charging station incentives
- Interact proactively and professionally with customers and contractors to drive program participation while answering questions regarding program opportunities, program services, and current offerings
- Support and promote relationships with industry and solution partners to maximize project implementation and sustain a robust pipeline more than minimum program participation goals
- Provide flexible support to other team members on an as-needed basis
- Work in a safe manner with attention to detail

DNV Energy Systems Renewables has been advising developers, owners, operators and financiers of renewable energy projects, specifically in onshore and offshore wind and electricity networks, to enhance our customers' projects, technology and operations. Team members provide technical advice to customers throughout the energy value chain.
We are now recruiting a Senior / Principal Offshore Wind Engineer with prior knowledge in renewable electricity generation, transport or storage, specifically related to offshore wind systems.
The role is permanent and initially ideally based in Hamburg or Oldenburg, with options to work from other DNV offices in Denmark, Poland or the Netherlands later on.The successful applicant will have a primary focus on the German wind market but will be working closely in collaboration with our Northern Europe team and colleagues around the globe to provide energy consulting services.
