- Project management activities for clients. Ownership of the entire project lifecycle from initiation to close-out in accordance to DNV internal Project Management Processes
- Frequently communicate with clients in a clear, concise, and professional manner, presenting a professional company image to clients by email, phone, and in person
- Coordinate a multi-disciplinary group of experts, often at different locations and time zones
- Write and review project deliverables (eg. reports, statements, certificates, etc.)
- Organize and, given relevant experience and qualification, participate in inspection of components manufacturing workshops and factory prototype testing
- Support Bid Manager to prepare project proposals, budget development, and defining scopes of work. Manage deviations from scope with clients through clear communication over the phone and by email

For Type and Component certification department, we are currently looking for a dedicated structural engineer with a strong profile and keen interest in working in renewable energy. We (Turbine Engineering section) consist of 13 technical experts/project managers who are dealing with Type and Component Certification and Material Type Approvals for non-metallic materials. We are also very active doing the shop approvals, repair shop approvals and lab approvals for wind turbine suppliers.
As an enthusiastic engineer, the main focus of the work will be on the design reviews and manufacturing inspections of wind turbine structural components and project management of Type and Component Certification. Areas of responsibility and tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Structural verification of wind turbine structural components using commercial Finite Element Analysis software as well as in-house software for specific tasks.
- Assessment of customers’ drawings and technical specifications.
- Inspection activities including manufacturing, witnessing of component testing etc.
- Assessment of material tests and design methodologies for wind turbine components.
- Project management for Type and component certification.
