DNV – Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Hydrogen & Low Carbon Fuels team. In this role, you will work with a group of process engineers supporting other colleagues in identifying customizable solutions to clients’ challenges in their energy transition endeavors. Your contributions will help maintain DNV’s know-how around hydrogen as a fuel and feed to other processes. This know-how will readily respond to clients’ requests in a fast-paced environment.
DNV – Energy Systems – Hydrogen & Low Carbon Fuel aspires to become the preferred business partner to support customers in mitigating their risks by providing high-quality due diligence studies focusing on green hydrogen production and its integration into a supply chain. Among the challenges the senior project engineer in the team will face is representing customers during the several phases of electrolyzer deployment projects.
The first preference for this role is the Seattle office. We will consider remote positions based out of any location in the continental U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Review, on behalf of the customer, the professional management of all relevant engineering disciplines in proposals and project execution
- Able to advise the customer in scope management, provision of technical specifications and documentation, bill of quantities (BoQs), change management, quality, EHS, risk and opportunities, project schedule, and progress reporting
- Capable of contributing to project definition in support of project size, location, technology selection, contracting strategy, scope, and schedule as a detailed feasibility study (FEL 0 -3)
- Led and organized feasibility study projects in the areas of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives

As part of DNV’s Renewables service area and the Solar & Battery Storage section in the Northern Europe region, the Solar Engineer will work along with other technical professionals to provide technical consulting services. The Candidate will have the opportunity to learn technical aspects of the solar PV plants by being involved in various projects, performing Energy Production Assessments, site visits, feasibility studies, contractual terms review, tender process preparation and management, construction and operation monitoring. The role also has elements of business development, marketing and sales supporting responsibilities. GB’s gas and electricity networks face a tremendous challenge to deliver the network investments required to enable decarbonisation of heat, and connect large quantities of renewable energy production capacity at record pace. This role will focus on techno-economic, strategic and regulatory advice to GBEnergy Networks, such as National Grid ESO, National Gas, TOs, DNOs and GDNs, but also networks in other jurisdictions. The position is based in the Power Quality Section which is part of DNV Energy, Renewables Measurements.

- Provide our customers with technical advice related to planning and development of wind farm concepts and projects

DATE Centre Asia is a branch/satellite of Technical Support Norway. Its main task is to provide technical support to Fleet in service-related questions from internal and external customers within the sections area of expertise, and to provide Remote Surveys using remote collaboration technology.

- Assist the section in following up remote surveys (survey without physically going on ships).
- Section is mainly handling technical queries from ship owner/manager through DATE (Direct Access to Technical Experts) portal. Assist the section to handle these queries.
- Actively participate in section meetings and other sharing sessions/training/innovations. Contribute with new ideas, agile in thinking and fast learner.
