The Sales and Business Development Manager will be responsible for the overall sales result of the individual sales target and growth of various services such as Sustainability, supply chain assessments, advisory and digital assurance services in India. This position will report to the Sales Head- IME. - Responsible for driving the region’s sales, developing the business relationships, establishing and maintaining both sales and business development strategies to meet sales targets and implement the marketing initiatives - In a proactive mode, approach targeted companies, identify and generate business opportunities in line with DNV services portfolio - Develop a local network of partners (consultants, channels) and development sales pipeline - Support of project from technical proposal development, product development and customer outreach, campaigns, support in preparation of go to market strategies - In respect of DNV’s rules, prepare, submit and defend value-added proposals - Follow-up, negotiate and conclude business contracts to achieve individual targets - Ensure the proper tagging of sales in the system, accuracy of sales quotes per DNV rules, guidelines and practices - Support for annual sales planning, quarterly forecasting, reviews and other related activities - Sustain existing customers’ loyalty, deal with sales requests in coordination with other DNV departments - Take part in local communication actions (events, tradeshows, conferences, exhibitions, etc). - In relation with the area to cover, the expectations is that the incumbent shall be ready to travel in her/his dedicated geography (~60% of the overall time to be considered on the field) and attend sales meetings, trainings and other business review meetings - Support the digitalisation transformation and initiatives.

What You’ll Do - Perform turbine site suitability evaluation with DNV’s internally developed tools, reviewing mechanical loads assessments prepared by OEMs - Contribute to wind turbine technology assessments, reviews, report writing, and client communication as part of technical due diligence for project financing, mergers & acquisitions, and other business needs - Remain current on new wind turbine technology, engaging with OEMs to understand the latest technical details on new products and updates/revisions to existing products - Perform field and factory inspections of wind turbines and components as part of construction monitoring, operational projects assessments, manufacturing quality inspections, and potential failure investigations - Review projects’ O&M budgets and provide O&M costs projections using DNV’s internal tools, including evaluation of expected major component failure rates - Prepare detailed reports, memos, technical notes, and email correspondence to communicate clearly to clients with accuracy and technical rigor - Review root cause analysis (RCA) investigations performed by OEMs or others, to assess RCA’s completeness and provide an evaluation of associated risks and mitigants. Work may also include participation in RCAs, including investigations into turbine and component failures covering inspection, documentation of field conditions, causality mapping, and engineering calculations (as appropriate) - Ability and interest to learn aero-elastic load simulations of turbines. Example work would include a detailed evaluation of turbine loads to confirm site suitability, evaluating impacts of turbine modifications (hardware and software) on turbine loads, and assessing the remaining useful life of aged turbines - Complete company-required documentation promptly such as Job Safety and Risk Assessments, timesheets, expense reports, inspection check sheets, tracking reports, and scheduling controls

The successful applicant will have a primary focus on the Dutch, German and Northern Europe onshore wind market and will be working closely in collaboration within our Northern Europe team and colleagues around the globe to provide onshore wind energy engineering and consulting services.   You will be involved in the planning, development, construction, and operation phases of wind farm projects. Our projects vary across services such as wind resource assessments, energy production assessments, technical and/or commercial studies, technical due diligence, qualification of new technologies, and more.   Your tasks may not be limited to onshore wind, but could involve other renewables such as (floating) offshore wind, (floating) solar, wave power and integrated energy systems as well.   The role will be focused on automation of data analysis related tasks in the field of meteorology and wind farm production, analysis of large data sets to support service development, undertake wind resource and energy production assessments for onshore wind projects, but could also include involvement in development assignments, technical due diligence assignments, strategic advisory assignments, specific individual solutions to complex problems, involvement in strategic research and development projects (internal and external) and support and preparation of offers, bids or participation in tender processes with complex technical tasks.   The overall purpose of the job is to support the offshore wind team in its role to help DNV safeguard life, property and the environment and achieve our company vision: to be a trusted voice to tackle global transformations.   The role is permanent and initially ideally based in Arnhem, the Netherlands, but Oldenburg, Germany can also be considered.
