Area SEA, Taiwan, Korea and Japan department is part of DNV's Energy Systems APAC Region operations and holds an important and strategic position for us in the marketplace, both locally and globally. Area Korea department is part of DNV's Energy Systems APAC Region operations and holds an important and strategic position for us in the marketplace. In this role, you will work closely with experts from around the world to give our customers a better solution for their business strategy and to improve their safety and prevent any serious accident. You will be expected to balance multiple projects within expectations and ensure quality of deliverables. The unit is responsible for providing technical advisory services within the field of ship machinery systems, gas carriers and gas as cargo, decarbonization regulatory support, novel technologies and alternative fuels. The team is involved in various R&D, ship concept design and advisory projects working closely with major international ship owners, yards and manufacturers. We are recognized for service delivery of ship energy system simulations, further known as Complex Ship Systems Modelling and Simulation (COSSMOS). It is a prerequisite that the successful candidate will contribute and be integrated into that effort. Our unit Electrical Safety located in Esbjerg is looking for candidates with min. engineering degree (B.Sc.) to strengthen our group of engineers and specialists, performing various assurance, verification and advisory tasks for a broad range of customers throughout the entire value chain on- and offshore Oil & Gas, renewable energy, P2X and energy transmission. Region West Europe is part of the Maritime business area. The Region includes all operational classification business across nine countries and comprises of ~430 employees in 35 locations. Key services delivered by the team include: - Development and implementation of methods for managing pipework vibration risks on energy assets, including cost-effective remedial solutions - Pipework and structural vibration measurement and investigation - Theoretical analysis of vibration, fluid pulsation and noise issues - Failure and mechanical integrity investigations - Plant condition assessments to support operational, integrity and safety objectives - Compressor testing to ensure safe and efficient operation - Plant surveys to check compliance of compressor safety equipment - Technology qualification and research As a highly analytical Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will support and lead projects in the above areas for process plant and pipework on energy industry assets, including gas processing, transmission and distribution facilities. You’ll be responsible for project delivery across the full life cycle, from proposal preparation, methodology development, analysis and reporting, through to recommendation and development of solutions. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping shape our team's approach to creating innovative solutions for our clients, defining our future strategy, and enhancing our capabilities to identify opportunities for wider integration of our services. In this varied role you will also collaborate with our business development team, contributing to winning new business with existing and potential clients, developing proposals, bidding for contracts, attending client meetings and building relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, as a senior member of the Vibration and Asset Health team, you will have a mentoring role to oversee and support the activities of our less experienced engineers and there will also be opportunities for working across other teams within Asset Integrity / Risk Advisory and the wider DNV group, on a range of energy asset technology projects. In a typical energy OT environment, several components and devices from different manufacturers have to interoperate flawlessly. Communication standards are a basic requirement to realize open infrastructures and device interoperability. Energy companies often require that a product passes a conformance test before they will proceed to purchase. The test will reveal any interpretation problems and bugs in the software at an early stage (before implementation on the customer’s site). In DNV's experience, more than 90 percent of devices fail the first test. It has been proven that using certified products significantly reduces communication problems when a device enters service.   We are searching for two roles or two combined roles, Software Developer and/or Test Engineer. Our lab is recognized as leading the industry, leading the standardisation group with involvement in all power system communication standards, from cyber security to network modelling.   As a Software Developer/ Test Engineer you gather insights from our test engineers and external clients about the needs of our tools. You will be translating these needs into scrum user stories and plan them into our scrum session.
