Area Benelux & France is part of the Maritime Region West Europe, consisting of a team of approximately 73 committed employees taking care of various technical services. These services are related to the following disciplines:    CMC - Certification of Materials and Components for vessels and offshore installations.    NB - New Building classification for vessels and offshore installations.    The Area is collaborating closely with the Regional FiS - Fleet in Service organization.    There are five office locations in the Area: Antwerp, Le Havre, Marseille, Saint-Nazaire and Rotterdam. Besides this, several people are working from a home office, to cover the geographical needs of our clients.    We aim to be the front-runner in innovation, digitalization and customer-centricity. For various disciplines, new regimes are continuously introduced. Recent examples are electronic certificates, remote inspections, 3D printing, sensor-based maintenance, alternative fuels, and now heading towards the ships of the future shipping. Customer needs and footprint reduction are key elements in this.      We are looking for an Electrical Surveyor to join our NB team in France based in the Saint Nazaire Area. Main activities take place at Chantiers de l’Atlantique and other locations in the West coast of France.    Main responsibilities:   - Be part of DNV team(s) surveying our new building vessel project(s) in the country, including activities through all project phases and disciplines, from planning to close-out   - Application and interpretation of International and Classification Rules and regulations related to the maritime industry.  - Perform work which involves conventional engineering practices but may include complex problems, such as the ability to identify conflicting integration designs in Electrical and automation systems for Maritime.  - Be responsible for, but not limited to, the electrical, automation and navigation disciplines during the new building of the cruise vessel from a Classification point of view.  - Survey of material and components for the maritime industry in manufacturer’s facilities.  - Approval of drawings and documentation related but not limited to, Electrical and automation discipline.  - Work in close cooperation with and under the supervision of DNV Project Manager at the Yard.   - Effectively interact and consult clients for Rules and design aspects.  - Apply theoretical and practical engineering knowledge in problem-solving.  - Manage our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization.   We offer:  - Work with a highly engaged team in an environment where trust, teamwork, and innovation are core values.  - An interesting technical function where you ensure compliance of complex systems on advanced ships  - The opportunity to grow and develop in a desired expertise role  - A job that continuously evolves due to technological developments   Work Location:   Saint-Nazaire     Conditions of Employment   Local terms and conditions. DNV Maritime Region Americas is seeking a Surveyor to join our DNV New Jersey area location with flexible work arrangement (home/office).   As a fleet in service Surveyor you will be member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and auditors serving the maritime industry and various ship types (eg: tankers, bulk carriers, containers) calling at ports in the US East Coast. We are the leading Classification Society in Iceland within the Maritime Industry, including the Fishing- and Fish Farming Industry. We are mainly involved in Classification work on Fishing Vessels and  Cargo Vessels trading around Iceland, both local and global ships.

DNV South America is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our team in Brazil as part of our Business Area Maritime Region Americas.   The candidate will be permanently allocated in the North of the State of Rio de Janeiro (“Norte Fluminense”) since one of the main tasks is to attend vessels at “Porto do Açu”. This is a port in operation since 2014 focused on sustainable growth and considered the largest private deep-water port and industrial complex in Latin America. DNV Maritime Region Americas is seeking a Surveyor and Auditor to join our Montreal Station.  This position is based out of our DNV office in Montreal, Quebec with a hybrid or flexible work arrangement.     As a fleet in service Senior Surveyor and Lead auditor for Montreal you will be member of a highly-qualified team of surveyors and serving the maritime industry and various ship types (e.g.: bulk carriers, containers, general cargo, tankers, lakers, passenger vessels) calling ports in Quebec and Ontario provinces.   What You'll Do - Conduct inspection surveys and certification of ships in service to ascertain the condition of mechanically functioning hulls, machinery, equipment, and equipage to determine repairs required for vessels to meet requirements for classification.
