Our Fleet in Service unit presently has 40 FIS Surveyors whose main activity is FIS, including occasional and periodical Surveys/Audits. The Team in Algeciras consists of 10 surveyors and we are looking for one new surveyor to join the actual manpower .
The work is taking place both in ships afloat and alongside and attending at Yard/Dry-dock facilities within Algeciras , Gibraltar and Cádiz bay with sporadic surveys at Seville / Huelva . A large variety of vessel types are regularly attended, with a special focus on Container Ships, Ferries, Unitized Dry Cargo vessels, Gas tankers, Oil Carriers, Chemical Carriers, Offshore Service vessels, Crane vessels, Passenger Vessels, and HSLC.
Main tasks:
The position we offer is within an enthusiastic and professional team of surveyors reporting to the Team leader FiS (Iberia & Italy/Malta)South & West Iberia FiS (M-WF-IP).
Successful candidates will be mainly expected to carry out Ships in Operation surveys and audits for assets located within their geographical area of responsibility. Due to growth of the business, DNV Maritime Area East Mediterranean & Black Sea is looking for a dynamic professional from the maritime industry to join our team in Limassol, Cyprus and assume the position of a Senior Surveyor.
The position reports to Cyprus Operations Manager.
Main duties & responsibilities include:
- Perform surveys and audits onboard vessels according to rules and regulations as well as support other service lines within maritime (Certification of Materials and Components, Approval of Service Suppliers).
- Effectively interact with owner’s representatives.
- Manage clients together with other relevant parts of our organization
- Complete project-oriented work, including cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects
- Follow up periodical surveys and assessments at customer sites
- Perform project control, reporting, and follow-up within the due date
- Responsible for professional and consistent deliveries throughout the project - plan, coordinate, follow up and improve the operational activities of the project by the framework in the DNV strategy, budget, the DMS, and other applicable instructions
DNV Iceland is looking for a Fleet in Service surveyor, that can join our small team of experianced employees.
We are the leading Classification Society on Iceland within the Maritime Industry including the Fishing- and Fish Farming Industry.
We are mainly involved in Classification work on Fishing Vessels and Cargo Vessels trading around Iceland both local shipss and global fleet.
We are engaged in the digital jurney together with our customers, and are using new tools and IT systems. We will also contribute and drive the way to a greener shipping with future fuel solutions.
DNV Maritime Norway consists of 100 surveyors, working from 12 offices along the Norwegian coast. We are responsible for all our services to the maritime cluster in Norway. The main activities are classification and surveys of ships and mobile offshore units. We also certify equipment from local manufacturers.

Right now, our office in Haugesund is looking for a Fleet in Service surveyor to join our team. At the Haugesund office our team of surveyors do survey of ships and mobile offshore units as well as manufacturing follow-up. Our customers vary from ship owners, yards and manufactures.
